Welcome to our NCMA - NNSY On Line Webpage,

As president of our Chapter of the Naval Civilian Managers Association (NCMA-NNSY), I want to personally welcome you to our page. As an NCMA Member, you're connected with ~240 of your shipyard peers and nearly 750 leaders at 6 other naval activities, including all 4 Naval Shipyards. Our NNSY Chapter was established in 1949 and has a long and rich heritage of supporting NNSY, growing NNSY Leaders, and improving relations with our military and community.

NCMA is a private, non-profit, national organization established to promote the improvement of management in the Department of the Navy (DoN), to improve communications among its members, and to foster a positive standing with our local communities. Our Mission, Vision, and Values are below.

• MISSION: The NCMA works to improve DoN civilian management by strengthening civilian leadership skills, community involvement, and relationship building between civilian, military and community leads to improve the Navy and the communities in which we live.

• VISION: NCMA is a respected and influential Naval civilian management organization whose membership serves as role models and mentors to current and prospective civilian leaders.

• VALUES: When we speak of our values we mean that our members act with behaviors worthy of emulating. We respect every individual, believe in quality, accountability, innovation, integrity, and other attributes.

Success of our local NCMA chapter is determined by the involvement and participation of our members. Throughout the year, we will ask for your assistance and participation in a wide variety of efforts supporting our NNSY command and our local community. We will also provide opportunities for you to train and socialize with your Shipyard peers. From the opportunities that we provide, I hope that you’ll find at least 1 or 2 events a year that have deep meaning to you. If not, let us know how we’re missing the mark.
