***Tidewater Chapter was the 2017 Chapter of the Year***

The Navy Civilian Managers Association is a private, non-profit national organization, established to promote the improvement of management in the Department of Navy, to improve communication among its members, and to foster a positive standing within our local communities. NCMA works to improve Department of the Navy civilian management by strengthening civilian leadership skills, community involvement, and relationship-building between civilian, military, and community leaders to improve our Navy and the communities in which we live. NCMA is a respected and influential Naval civilian management organization whose membership serves as role models and mentors to current and prospective civilian leaders.

NCMA Tidewater Chapter is a management organization of our senior civilians dedicated to the principle that the interests of this country can best be served by a strong Navy. We believe that the strength of the Navy depends largely on the degree of the competence and attitude of our civilian leaders and the working relationships between us and our military officials. The Tidewater chapter of NCMA is open to GS-12 and above employees. The desire is to establish a foundation from which to build a strong NCMA membership of civilian employees to reach its goals of building beneficial relationships between civilian leaders, the military and the community. We will do this through a series of business meetings, guest speakers, workshops, luncheons and social activities. The focus for this year will be to:

1)    Develop and strengthen our chapter.

2)   Strengthen influence and relevance with command, local, state, national and business leaders.

3)   Participate in Community Outreach Activities.
